Crochet Books Review And News
I am thrilled with this book. It has something for everyone and the sweaters do NOT look like an afghan made into a sweater. Instead, everything is stylish and elegant. I just finished the Chinese Jacket and the directions were well written and easy to follow. This is the first time I’ve ever made a fitted adult garment. Until now, I’d only made an adult poncho and some capelets. You will not be disappointed with this book if you have a variety of people for whom you crochet. I thought I was an “intermediate” crochet person, but I could not follow these patterns. Tried. Came to too many “HUH?” moments. Kept making assumptions, “hmm… I guess this means…” but was never sure I was getting it, so I gave up. I really like the designs, though, so I wish I had someone who was an expert at crochet to help me figure out the patterns. So, if you are really advanced at reading patterns, this might work for you, but otherwise, be careful!
